Thank you for submitting the grant application request, which is the first step of applying to Oak City Biz Labs.

 

Carolina Small Business Development Fund has been notified that you have completed this first step, however, the application will not be considered complete until all documents have been reviewed for accuracy and the additional required steps are satisfied.

Here’s what’s next:

• You must complete the Business Needs Assessment Form.

  • Once you complete the Business Needs Assessment Form, you will be emailed a proposed individualized technical assistance plan that you must complete through our Digital Learning Academy. The email containing your individualized technical assistance plan will contain further instructions on how to access your recommended courses. 
     

• Your grant application and documentation will be reviewed pending the completion of the technical assistance plan.
   

• Once the documentation is reviewed, the technical assistance plan is complete, and all eligibility criteria have been confirmed, you will receive an award notification via email. 

  • The award notification will state the grant amount and alert you about our request for a survey specific to your job/employment practices and a W9 form request to be completed via DocuSign. 
     

• After the W-9 and Jobs Survey forms are received, we will process the payment to your business bank account. Please allow 5 business days for the disbursement to occur before contacting us inquiring about the disbursement.

Oak City Biz Labs is a first come, first served program, and our team will be working diligently to ensure that the funds are disbursed to selected grant recipients on or before May 17, 2023. Due to a high surge of applications, we are unable to provide status updates during our application processing period but will inform you if additional information is needed and of the final award decision.
