Magaly Rivera is CEO & Principal Consultant of MAG Advisors, and she brings 25+ years of in-depth expertise in U.S. Hispanic market, strategic planning, business development, community initiatives, program concept development, grant writing and industry analysis experience to assist companies to grow and develop new products and services. Her success in securing government and foundation funding have made her a go-to and sought out professional for fundraising. Her reputation has garnered MAG Advisors Fortune 500 clients and her insights have refined and refocused their business strategies.

She is a passionate leader driven to support business success for Latino entrepreneurs and initiatives that provide educational growth opportunities for the U.S. Latino community. Prior to Mag Advisors, she was VP Development & Project Manager for Project LAMP at HITN, a Hispanic public service TV network, garnering over $35 million in funding including their largest multi-year grant, the U.S. Dept. of Education’s Ready to Learn. She has worked as a Consultant to BBC America’s, successfully launching the BBC Latin American Consumer publishing division. Prior to Mag Advisors, she was Int’l Director for Televisa, where she elevated their int’l broadcast presence and directed promotional tours. Currently, she serves as Chair of the Latino Public Radio Consortium, a public media organization supporting the growth of U.S. Latino public radio stations. She is also a Mentor & Counselor for SBA’s The SCORE Association, a previous Board member for Women in Development New York and previous member of the Avon Business Advisory Council for Women. She began her career and spent 10 years at WCBS-TV in a variety of roles. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Long Island University, is native Spanish with a basic knowledge of Portuguese. Magaly has two beautiful children, her daughter starting her career in digital photography and a son, who is serving overseas for the U.S. Army.
